To provide legal support to the Corporate, Commercial & Transaction Banking businesses including advisory and guidance on legal risks affecting the Business and providing practical solutions to mitigate such risks; updating the Business on Changes in Law, review of general agreements, loan documents, standard templates, product terms to ensure enforceability, updates to comply with changes in law and fairness in respect of Products and Services offered.
Job Responsibilities
Provide legal advice and interpretations on legislations, regulations, orders and agreements to the business units.
Assist in providing legal solutions and directions to the business units on day-to-day issues, banking facilities, products and services.
Assist in reviewing, drafting and commenting on legal agreements, collaboration agreements, partnerships agreements, referral agreements, non-disclosure agreement, mandate letters, application forms, terms and conditions and other documents.
Participate in both internal and external meetings and negotiations including meetings with solicitors, clients, counterparties, other lenders and stakeholders.
Keep abreast and update the relevant latest changes in laws and legislations to business units.
Manage and assist the business units in making decision on non-legal issues that have legal implications.
Assist in reviewing and updating the Bank\'s template documents for loans/financing products, trade products and cash management services;
Coordinate and provide legal training on specific legal issues as and when requested by business units.
Review and comments on policies and procedures of business units.
Perform such duties as may be assigned from time to time.
