About Us

The Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC), a leading humanitarian organization established by an Act 540 , is seeking a qualified, dynamic, and dedicated candidate to join our team as a Legal Officer.

Role Purpose

To support the development, review, and implementation of legal policies, agreements, and compliance frameworks, ensuring alignment with MRC standards. The role emphasizes legal compliance, drafting key documents, and contributing to policy reviews with a focus on human rights.

Key Responsibilities

Support the implementation of MRC's operational and programme activities. Provide legal and technical assistance to stakeholders. Build capacity in legal advocacy and disaster risk governance. Draft legal documents, reports, and relevant materials. Facilitate engagement in national, regional, and international policy dialogues.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Law (LLB) with strong background in public policy, international law, or disaster governance. Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience. Proven skills in legal drafting, policy analysis, and advocacy. Strong communication and writing skills. Experience with humanitarian organizations or government agencies is an advantage.
