Our client is a reputable telc0. They are looking for lawyer to provide legal support to various business divisions within the group of companies to facilitate operations. This is a 6 months contract role.

Responsibilities

- Provide legal support to facilitate business operations within various business divisions amongst the company\'s group;
- Support a group of spend categories assigned to you with holistic, pragmatic and business oriented legal advice, in particular on transactional & contract matters;
- Engage with and support the legal procurement team and the procurement team;
- Participate in the negotiation of procurement contracts, leading as required;
- Support the development of agreements and processes (if required);
- Liaise with stakeholders and specialists (e.g. business, procurement, legal) as required;
- Review, draft, advice, negotiate contracts with vendors, customers, dealers, business partners etc for the procurement of hardware, software and services in relation to company\'s network and IT environment ;

Requirements

- Degree in Law (LLB)
- Minimum 10 years\' experience post being called to the Bar with at least in-house legal experience and law firm experience will be an added advantage
- Candidates with experience related to procurement (drafting, advisory, review and negotiations skills) related matters;
- Understanding of intellectual property , IT procurement matters (including cloud services and on premise settings, software licensing, open source software etc);
- Able to work independently and had positive personal traits as well as passionate, collaborative, dedicated and have the ability to perform in a challenging and dynamic environment;
- Excellent communication skills (with clients and counterparties and key stakeholders)
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Able to balance legal issues against commercial requirements in the performance of assigned duties and tasks
- Advice must be practical while ensuring company\'s interests are protected and compliance with law observed.
