Job Summary:

The

Lifeguard

is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals using the swimming pool and surrounding areas within the facility. This role involves monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety regulations, responding to emergencies, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in and around the pool. The Lifeguard also assists with pool operations and works closely with the facility management team to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all users.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise swimmers and pool users to prevent accidents and ensure safe practices are followed at all times. Enforce pool rules, regulations, and safety guidelines in accordance with facility and health standards. Maintain constant vigilance over the pool area; intervene immediately in the event of unsafe behavior or emergency situations. Perform rescues, first aid, and CPR as necessary during incidents or emergencies. Conduct routine inspections of the pool area, water quality, and safety equipment to ensure compliance with operational and hygiene standards. Support the facility maintenance team in monitoring water chemical levels and ensuring filtration systems operate effectively. Maintain accurate records of daily attendance, incidents, maintenance issues, and water tests. Ensure all rescue and safety equipment (lifebuoys, rescue tubes, first aid kits, etc.) are in proper working condition. Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up pool furniture, checking facilities, and securing the area after hours. Provide friendly and professional assistance to facility users and report any issues to the Facility Supervisor.

Qualifications:

SPM or equivalent. Certified in

First Aid, CPR, and AED

use (current and valid). Previous experience as a lifeguard in a commercial, residential, or hospitality environment preferred. Strong swimming ability and quick response skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of pool safety regulations and emergency procedures. Willing to

work in shifts

Job Type: Contract

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
