Job Description

A Lifting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of lifting operations. They coordinate and supervise all lifting activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety procedures. Their role is crucial for preventing accidents and maintaining a safe working environment during lifting tasks, particularly those involving cranes. Key Responsibilities:

Planning and Supervision:

Developing and implementing lifting plans, ensuring they align with safety standards and regulations.

Team Coordination:

Leading and coordinating the lifting team, including crane operators, riggers, and signalmen, ensuring clear communication and understanding of the plan.

Equipment Management:

Inspecting lifting equipment, ensuring its proper functionality and maintenance, and overseeing its safe use.

Safety Compliance:

Enforcing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring all personnel adhere to safe work practices.

Incident Management:

Responding to incidents, conducting investigations, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Communication:

Clearly communicating the lifting plan, safety procedures, and any necessary instructions to the team.

Documentation:

Maintaining records of lifting operations, inspections, and any incidents.
