About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and reliable

Linux Administrator

to manage, maintain, and support our Linux-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure system stability, security, and performance while supporting business operations and application teams.

You will work closely with IT, DevOps, and application teams to deploy, monitor, and optimize systems in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, manage, and maintain Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar). Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity; proactively resolve issues. Perform system updates, patches, and security hardening. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control. Configure and maintain services such as Apache/Nginx, SSH, DNS, FTP, and mail services. Perform regular system backups and recovery testing. Troubleshoot system, network, and application-level issues. Automate routine tasks using shell scripting or automation tools. Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices. Support system audits, documentation, and operational procedures. Collaborate with DevOps, cloud, and development teams on deployments and system improvements.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator. Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and command-line tools. Experience with system monitoring and logging tools. Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls). Experience with shell scripting (Bash). Familiarity with virtualization and container technologies (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes is a plus). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an advantage. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice to Have

Linux certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, LPIC). Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef). Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Experience supporting production or mission-critical environments.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
