To be responsible for shipping, forwarding, custom, inland logistic and port arrangements (inbound and outbound) to ensure timely resolution of issues and delivery deadlines. Coordinate on export and import shipment to ensure on time delivery.
To liaise with shipping companies, transportation companies, port authority and internal departments to ensure efficiency of shipping and logistics functions.
To negotiate and bargain with Agent or Forwarding to achieve optimum terms with highest benefits; to eliminate any non-performing agent or forwarder.
To review cost savings opportunities to meet and exceed the operational cost objectives and KPIs.
To monitor shipping scheduling and collaborate with various operational departments at various manufacturing locations as well as external parties to ensure strategic delivery plans.
To establish document filing system for all concluded negotiations.
To prepare and manage shipping documents ensuring compliance with import and export rules. (Form D, Form E, CO, and etc.)
Handling full sets of shipping documents for LC negotiation. Prepare freight quotation & advice INCOTERMS to sales team.
To ensure that overall import and export activities are carried out professionally, ethically and in a timely manner.
To stay updated with relevant legislations and communicate timely updates to the Superior.
Qualifications
Candidate must possess at least Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 relevant working experience in a manufacturing industry with exposure to shipping, customs and logistics functions.
Knowledge of MITI, MIDA, Royal Customs and Dangerous Goods Cargo documentation.
Possess excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Meticulous, analytical, proactive and independent.
Good communication skill. Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia in both verbal and written.
