Prepare and submit customs declarations for inbound and outbound shipments in compliance with national customs regulations.
Handle customs documentation for asset disposal in accordance with statutory and Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) regulations.
Manage documentation for subcontracting activities and apply for new HS codes for raw materials, finished goods, and sub-con items.
Verify HS codes, Incoterms, and product classifications to ensure accuracy.
Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and regulatory agencies to facilitate smooth clearance.
Ensure timely payment of duties and taxes to avoid delays or penalties.
Coordinate shipment schedules with suppliers, warehouses, and transport partners.
Monitor cargo movements to ensure timely clearance and delivery.
Address and resolve any discrepancies or delays with customs or freight agents.
Coordinate with customs agents on documentation and ad-hoc clearance issues.
Source and evaluate freight forwarders and agents when required.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customs documentation and declarations.
Ensure full compliance with import/export regulations and company policies.
Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
Prepare and submit LMW monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
Review and update the LMW layout plan periodically.
Generate regular reports on import/export activities, clearance timelines, and duty/tax costs.
Provide monthly and ad-hoc reports to management and regulatory authorities.
Handle ad-hoc matters related to logistics, compliance, or customs as assigned.
Job Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in logistics, with strong knowledge of LMW operations.
Well-versed in Malaysian customs procedures, MITI permits, and LMW documentation.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP systems.
Strong communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Independent, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Willing to travel to customs offices and related departments for documentation and coordination.
Must be willing to work in Pontian
