Handle the full customs clearance process for both imports and exports, making sure shipments are processed quickly and meet all rules. Work with customs officers to solve issues, negotiate on duties, and ensure smooth clearance of shipments. Keep track of shipments going in and out, ensuring they move through customs, quarantine, and other checks without delays. Ensure the clearance process meets all legal and statutory requirements Make sure all customs paperwork, duties, and taxes are handled correctly and on time Manage bonded (held) shipments and ensure their clearance is properly controlled. Communicate with customers to get required documents and approvals for faster clearance. Manages Customs Clearance Unit resources including cost and performance management. Develop a high performance service culture within the functional department. Plan, organize and direct and efficient and effective functional department. Develop IKOs/KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance. Consult performance appraisal Allocate resources effectively to meet company targets at global, regional, and country levels. Identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department.

Well- developed relationship skill and ability to network with multiple levels of an organization and other business units. 5-7 years relevant experience of working with customs within transportation, logistics or import / export industry 3 years experience in a leadership role Software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Communication skills (English), spoken and written
