Job Description


1. Job Purpose & Scope

To manage the logistics functions by ensuring that all process and activity of Incoming and Outgoing are according to the company & customer needs and requirements. To receive & store the finished products into the warehouse(s) and dispatched both efficiently and cost effectively. The position requires complying to the order to remittance process as above and ensuring that the logistics process is adhering at all times. The incumbent will also make improvements to the logistic process where appropriate to head up and drive to exceed company/ customer expectation.

2. Key Result Areas

Define the following.

1. Effective communication with other departments

2. Manage Finish Goods inventory

3. Manage inventory Postings (Backflush & MIGO)

5. Follow up on uncollected / delay collection

Delivery of company strategy & KPI\xe2\x80\x99s/Performance Management goals for job holder.

Improvement on Storage areas for Finish Goods

Quality, health & safety, service, continuous improvement, equality & diversity, and policies.

ISO 9001 Improvement

3. Key Responsibilities & Job Content

1. Ensuring all the related procedures relating to Logistics is maintained to ensure quality services provided. This covers the entire distribution and transportation management with quick response for prompt delivery in full on time error free.

2. Ensure that products received are stored properly, meeting quality packaging and delivering to satisfy customer\xe2\x80\x99s requirement. This is to maintain and enhance the company\xe2\x80\x99s image in the market.

3.To directly supervise employees, ensuring that they are fully utilized in their assigned tasks, working safely and not endangering either themselves or the product in any way are fully aware of what is expected of them through regular communication and on job training as and when necessary.

4. Co-ordination work in between Sales, Customer, Production and Transport Company/ forwarding agents to be in timely manner and prompt, in order to ensure efficiency of distribution process.

5.Handling customers complaint and respond promptly, to come out with immediate action plan, improvement and prevention from reoccurrence both internally and externally after discussion with logistics manager. (Customer Focus)

6.To maintain excellent housekeeping in the warehouse at a high standard. To ensure aisles and exits are kept clear at all times.

7.Control movements of finished goods and maintain proper records.

8.Record & keeping track of inventory movement. Maintain accurate reporting & integrity of the warehouse.

9. Directly involved in the Semi and Annual Stock Takes targeting to Stock Accuracy at 99%.

10.Maintain and Control total fleet of forklifts and drivers to ensure smooth distribution of both inbound and outbound activities of the total business.

11.Familiar with ISO 9000. Quality Management System.

12.All matters outside job scope, authority and dimension is to be referred to Logistics manager for approval.

13.Monitor all administrative functions as per requirement, and any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Professional Skills - Essential

1. Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in logistics or supply chain management or related field of expertise

2. Minimum of 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a manufacturing environment with experience in warehouse Control and Planning.

3.Good in Time Management

4. Proactive and resourceful in resolving problems

5. Planning and organizing, ability to prioritize

6. Computer literate, and familiar with SAP/ MRP software
