Lead end-to-end export logistics for shipments to the
United States
, ensuring compliance with international trade laws and US Customs regulations.
Strategically coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to optimize routes, lead times, and shipping costs.
Review and approve all shipping documentation (Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, Bills of Lading, etc.) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
2. Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all export documentation adheres to
US import regulations
, Incoterms, and client-specific requirements.
Keep abreast of tariff codes (HS Codes), Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), and export control laws impacting US shipments.
Provide guidance to internal teams on compliance and regulatory matters.
3. Logistics Optimization & Cost Management
Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to plan container loading schedules and timely dispatch.
Implement initiatives to reduce freight, packaging, and warehousing costs.
Monitor KPIs and analyze logistics performance metrics to drive process efficiency.
4. Stakeholder Coordination & Issue Resolution
Act as the main point of contact for internal departments (Sales, Finance, Production) and external stakeholders (forwarders, insurers, US clients).
Resolve shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, and customs clearance challenges proactively.
5. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Prepare executive-level reports on export performance, costs, and delivery reliability.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency, delivery accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in
Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field
; Master's degree is a plus.
3-5 years of experience
in export operations, preferably managing shipments to the United States.
Strong knowledge of
international trade compliance, US customs regulations, Incoterms, and shipping documentation
.
Proficiency with logistics and ERP systems; ability to analyze and report key performance metrics.
Fluent in English and Mandarin
(spoken and written) - essential for cross-border communication.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently, handle high-pressure situations, and lead process improvements.
