Operate a lorry or heavy goods vehicle to deliver goods to customers or company sites.
Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring correct handling of goods.
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules efficiently.
Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any faults or maintenance needs.
Keep the lorry clean, roadworthy, and compliant with all safety and legal standards.
Complete delivery notes, logs, and required paperwork accurately.
Use digital tracking systems or logbooks as required by company policy.
Follow all road safety laws, company transport policies, and driver regulations.
Ensure loads are properly secured and weight limits are not exceeded.
Adhere to driver hours and rest period regulations (Tachograph compliance).
Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with clients and the public.
Report delivery issues, delays, or customer feedback promptly.
