Job Description

Operate company-owned or leased lorries to transport goods to customers according to the delivery schedule. Ensure quality and quantity of the goods before delivery to the customer. Load and unload goods onto the lorry, ensuring that the load is secure and that the weight distribution is appropriate for safe transport. Verify that the goods match the delivery order and that the delivery address is correct. Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivery, taking into account traffic conditions and delivery requirements. Comply with all traffic laws and regulations, including safe driving practices, vehicle maintenance, and reporting any accidents or incidents. Inspect and maintain the lorry, including checking fluids, tire pressure, brakes, and other systems before and after each trip. Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery activities, and report any discrepancies to the Logistics Manager. Communicate with customers and company staff as needed to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and to resolve any issues related to delivery. Provide exceptional customer service to customers, maintaining a professional and courteous manner at all times. Follow driver's instructions to ensure that products are delivered properly.
