Requirements
Possess a valid Goods Driving License (GDL) and a clean driving record.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Lorry Driver
Familiarity with routes in and around the Puchong, Selangor area, and the ability to navigate using GPS or maps.
Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the lorry, ensuring it is in safe and roadworthy condition.
Capable of safely loading, securing, and unloading goods, adhering to all safety regulations and company procedures.
Proficient in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, with good communication skills to interact with dispatchers, clients, and other team members.
Ability to maintain accurate delivery logs and records, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the delivery schedule.
Demonstrated ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting and carrying heavy items.
Adherence to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company safety policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain lorries in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the lorry, ensuring that all systems are functioning correctly and reporting any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
Load, secure, and unload goods carefully, preventing damage during transit and ensuring accurate delivery to designated locations.
Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, considering traffic conditions, road closures, and delivery schedules.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays encountered during trips.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to provide updates on delivery status and address any issues that may arise.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures during driving
Perform basic maintenance tasks on the lorry, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and lights, and reporting any major repairs needed to the maintenance team.
