Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate a lorry to transport goods and materials to various locations.
• Adhere to all traffic rules, regulations, and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of yourself, other road users, and the cargo.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safety and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly to prevent damage during transportation.
• Plan routes effectively to optimize time and fuel efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of each delivery, including the time of departure, arrival, and any incidents that may occur during transit.
• Communicate effectively with the dispatch team and clients regarding delivery schedules and any changes or delays that may arise.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

• Possession of a valid GDL (Goods Driving License) is mandatory.
• Proven experience as a lorry driver, preferably in a similar role.
• Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic rules and regulations.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to load and unload goods.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to adhere to schedules and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and handle various types of cargo.
• Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
