Drive and operate a lorry to transport goods and materials along designated routes according to a set schedule.
Conduct vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues and safety concerns, performing preventative maintenance as needed.
Load and unload cargo safely, frequently using forklifts or other warehouse equipment.
Collect and confirm delivery instructions, ensuring customer signatures are obtained.
Report any defects, accidents, or violations related to the vehicle or driving.
Keep a logbook documenting driving activities to comply with federal regulations on rest and work periods.
Maintain cleanliness and good working condition of the lorry and related equipment.
Communicate promptly and clearly with clients or dispatchers regarding any delays or issues during the route.
Assist in managing warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and distributing goods.
Ensure inventory records are accurate by conducting regular audits and addressing any discrepancies.
Help optimize warehouse space and support efficient warehouse layout arrangements.
Operate forklifts safely within the warehouse environment.
Enforce safety and security measures to protect warehouse staff and property.
Prepare and maintain records and reports concerning inventory, orders, and logistics.
Follow all company policies and procedures related to both driving and warehouse duties.
Possess a valid GDL - E driving license.
