Position: Machine Learning Intern

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the development, training, and evaluation of machine learning models for legal document analysis, contract review, and case law summarization145. Support data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing for supervised and unsupervised learning tasks. Collaborate with engineers and legal experts to implement and test new algorithms in production environments. Contribute to the improvement of existing NLP and generative AI pipelines for jurisdiction-specific legal intelligence5. Analyze model performance and prepare reports with actionable insights. Stay updated with the latest research in machine learning, NLP, and legal AI applications.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals and hands-on experience with Python and ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Familiarity with natural language processing concepts and tools (e.g., spaCy, NLTK, HuggingFace Transformers). Experience with data manipulation and analysis using pandas and NumPy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Interest in legal technology and willingness to learn about legal workflows. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills (Bonus)

Prior experience with large language models (LLMs), generative AI, or legal datasets. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and version control (Git). Coursework or projects related to information retrieval, document classification, or text summarization.
