Provide deployment support for mainframe applications, ensuring smooth and efficient batch runs and monitoring.
Collaborate with the QA team to ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines.
Analyze and resolve issues related to mainframe applications and batch jobs.
Work on banking projects, preferably within the cards domain, to develop and maintain mainframe applications.
Utilize VSAM and sequential datasets for data storage and retrieval.
Write, test, and maintain COBOL, JCL, and CICS programs on the Mainframe ZOS platform.
Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and provide feedback to ensure best practices are followed.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
Requirements:
At least 3 years of Mandatory experience with mainframe development, including deployment support, batch runs, and monitoring.
Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and CICS programming languages.
Experience with Mainframe ZOS operating system.
Familiarity with VSAM and sequential datasets.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Experience in banking projects, preferably within the cards domain.
Preferred:
Prior experience in Service Delivery QA.
Knowledge of best practices in mainframe application development and deployment.
Experience with agile development methodologies.
