The Maintenance Crew member is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of all glamping tents, facilities, grounds, and activity equipment within the Glamping @ Wetland Putrajaya site. This role ensures a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for all guests, preserving the high standards of a luxury outdoor experience.
Conduct regular inspections and perform scheduled maintenance on all glamping tents, including canvas material, structural integrity, decking, and interior fixtures.
Unit Repair:
Handle minor electrical (e.g., changing light bulbs, troubleshooting AC units), plumbing (e.g., minor leaks, clogged drains), and structural repairs within the tents and common facilities (washrooms, dining areas).
Air Conditioning (AC):
Assist in the routine cleaning and basic maintenance of AC units in the glamping tents to ensure optimal cooling.
Furniture & Fixtures:
Repair or replace damaged furniture, bedding, and room amenities.
2. Grounds & Landscape Upkeep
Site Cleanliness:
Maintain the general cleanliness and organization of the campsite, common areas, pathways, and parking lot.
Landscaping:
Perform routine landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, weeding, and watering the grass and planted areas.
Waste Management:
Oversee the proper collection and disposal of waste and recyclables throughout the property.
Wetland/Natural Area:
Work under supervision to maintain designated natural areas (e.g., trails, viewing decks) with minimal environmental impact.
3. Activity & Equipment Maintenance
Recreational Equipment:
Perform daily safety checks and basic maintenance on recreational equipment such as the swimming pool area, Challenging Park installations, Flying Fox, ATV units, trampolines, bicycles, and archery gear.
Campfire/BBQ:
Prepare and maintain designated campfire and BBQ areas, ensuring safety and readiness for guest use.
4. Safety & Security
Hazard Identification:
Proactively identify and report any safety hazards, structural defects, or needed major repairs to the Maintenance Supervisor immediately.
Emergency Response:
Assist in emergency situations, such as adverse weather preparation or minor utility failures.
Tool Management:
Maintain, clean, and secure all maintenance tools and equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience:
Proven experience (minimum 1-2 years) in general maintenance, property upkeep, hospitality maintenance, or a related trade.
Technical Skills:
Basic knowledge and hands-on ability in one or more of the following: electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, painting, or landscaping.
Physical Demands:
Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs), bending, standing, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Work Environment:
Comfortable working in a natural, outdoor environment (wetland/park setting).
Soft Skills:
Reliable, proactive, good problem-solver, able to work independently or as part of a small team.
Attitude:
A customer-focused approach with a commitment to maintaining a high-quality guest experience.
Certification:
Valid driver's license (or relevant local license) may be required for operating site vehicles (like ATV or utility carts).
