REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor\'s Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma/ Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive maintenance and repair.
• Experience in port equipment maintenance (e.g., reach stackers, forklifts, prime movers, terminal tractors, and other vehicles) is highly advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of spoken and written Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:The roles are to support the various responsibilities of the Port Equipment Department including:

• Prepare and execute preventative maintenance programs for all port equipment.
• Manage work orders requests, develop time estimates, ensure efficient resource allocation and timely task completion.
• Schedule and execute periodic equipment inspections, troubleshoot, investigate equipment breakdowns, and monitor overall equipment performance.
• React with high urgency to any downtime or equipment breakdown and take immediate actions to rectify issues while ensuring quality standards are met.
• Oversee inventory management and parts procurement processes.
• Liaise with vendors and consultants to resolve complex equipment-related issues.
• Support equipment lifecycle management, including assisting with replacement of equipment and parts as needed.
• Supervise technical staff to optimize work efficiency and maintain proper maintenance operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry best practices in all maintenance activities.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by Management.
