Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities :

1. Operates high and low tension switchboards, maintain centralize air conditioning equipment, diesel and generator.

2. Maintains a daily log sheet on electrical consumption of transformers, switchboards, chiller performance readings, diesel generator unit performance readings and diesel consumption.

3. Checks all equipment's' gauges and instruments to maintain standard function:

logs reading as to energy generated.

4. Economies on energy consumption and safeguards operation of equipment by adjusting appropriate setting of chiller operation.

5. Conducts regular test runs on standby diesel generator set.

6. Assist the Fitter in cleaning pump strainers and chillers.

7. To trouble shoot during breakdown of machineries.

8. To assist the Executive Housekeeper.

9. To supervise and delegate duties to all mechanical and electrical subordinates.

10. To check stock level of engineering materials.

11. To plan, schedule and co-ordinate building, mechanical and electrical maintenance works.

12. To repair and maintain all air conditioning equipment, refrigeration units, piping, electrical works and associated equipment.

13. To carry out shift duties, split shifts or when called upon to perform odd duties whenever a person of the same category or trade falls sick, is on vacation or absent from duties and or when called upon to do so from time to time as directed by the Superiors.

14. To perform duties during safety and fire operations drill when and where the need aries.

15. Respond promptly and positively to all guest request, even if it does not directly concerned the department job.

16. Repair and maintain all mechanical equipment, kitchen equipment, fresh air supply and exhaust air fans, rubbish bins, trolleys, wheels and all mechanical fittings.

17. Install new meters and starters including wiring and Iying of cables, sockets, conduits, exhaust fans, door bells, television sets, refrigeration equipment automatic doors, light fittings etc.

18. Check all motors and electrical systems on equipment, servicing refrigerators and air conditioning system and controls including pneumatic system.

19. Carry out repairs required/ necessary on all steam equipment in boiler room, laundry and kitchen area.

20. Responsible for replacement of all fuse and bulbs, safe custody of lighting and sound equipment in areas assigned.

21. To carry out any assignment as and when required by the Management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,300.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
