Requirements

• Possess a Diploma in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance within the hospitality industry, preferably in a resort setting.
• Proficient in performing preventive maintenance tasks to ensure all equipment and facilities are operating efficiently.
• Skilled in diagnosing and executing corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement effective repair solutions in a timely manner.
• Experience in maintaining building infrastructure, including structural, cosmetic, and safety systems.
• Strong knowledge of facility maintenance procedures and best practices.
• Fluent in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Willingness to work on-site in Port Dickson and be available for occasional after-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of the resort's facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and potential issues.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical.
• Perform corrective maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems as needed, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to operations.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment malfunctions, utilizing technical manuals and diagnostic tools to identify root causes.
• Manage and oversee the work of external contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and within budget.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment for all employees and guests.
• Respond to guest requests and complaints related to maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist in the development and management of the maintenance budget, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Oversee building maintenance, including painting, carpentry, and general repairs, ensuring the resort's buildings are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing.
