Job Description


Position Overview:The Maintenance Manager/Assistant Managerwill oversee all maintenance activities at the plant. This role involves managing the maintenance team, ensuring all equipment and facilities are operating at peak efficiency, and minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance strategies. And will also be responsible for planning and executing maintenance schedules, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.Roles & Responsibilities: * Maintenance Management:

  • Oversee daily maintenance operations and manage the maintenance team at the plant.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods to ensure efficient operation of machinery and equipment.
  • Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with production and other departments to ensure timely and efficient maintenance activities.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead, train, and supervise the maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet maintenance demands.
  • Budget Management:
  • Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Monitor maintenance expenses and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
  • Source and procure necessary maintenance supplies, equipment, and services within budget constraints.
  • Equipment and Facility Management:
  • Ensure all plant equipment, machinery, and facilities are maintained in good working order.
  • Implement and manage a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment and facilities to identify and address potential issues.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Conduct safety training and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation for regulatory compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes and practices.
  • Implement best practices in maintenance management to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and methodologies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience in leading and managing a maintenance team.
  • Experience with maintenance planning and scheduling, preferably using CMMS.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or other relevant certifications are a plus.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8:00am-5:00pm)Location: Kawasan Perindustrian Pasir Gudang, Johor
