Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating mechanical maintenance activities for equipment and facilities at the Waste-to-Energy (WtE) Plant, Waste Segregation Facility (WSF), and common areas. The role ensures operational reliability, safety, and efficiency in compliance with company policies, engineering standards, and statutory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise and lead mechanical technicians in executing maintenance and repair tasks. Plan, organize, and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities for mechanical systems and equipment. Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and company policies. Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Electrical, C&I, Operations) to minimize downtime and optimize plant performance. Review and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications to guide maintenance activities. Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and equipment related to mechanical systems. Monitor maintenance progress and prepare accurate reports on activities, issues, and recommendations. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency of plant operations.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum 3-4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance.

Preferred Industry Experience:

Power generation, utilities, or a similar industrial environment.

Skills & Competencies

Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Proven leadership, team coordination, and supervisory skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) is an added advantage.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
