Plan, schedule, and supervise daily maintenance tasks for machines, equipment, and facilities.
Assign tasks to maintenance technicians and ensure timely completion.
Develop preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to reduce downtime.
2. Equipment & Facility Maintenance
Oversee repair, servicing, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment.
Ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently.
Inspect equipment regularly to detect early signs of malfunction.
3. Team Supervision & Coordination
Lead and supervise maintenance staff (technicians, fitters, electricians).
Provide guidance, on-the-job training, and performance evaluation.
Ensure all team members follow safety rules and maintenance procedures.
4. Breakdown & Emergency Response
Respond to machine breakdowns or facility emergencies and coordinate quick repair action.
Investigate root causes of major breakdowns and implement corrective action.
5. Vendor & Contractor Management
Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or servicing.
Review quotations, evaluate vendor performance, and ensure quality of work done.
Verify and approve contractor job sheets and reports.
6. Inventory & Spare Parts Management
Monitor and maintain stock levels of spare parts, tools, and equipment.
Request purchase of required items and ensure proper inventory control.
7. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain maintenance logs, service reports, and breakdown records.
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly maintenance reports for management.
Keep updated documentation for PM schedules, machine histories, and facility inspections.
8. Safety, Compliance & Quality
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulations.
Conduct safety checks and report hazards to the Safety Officer/Management.
Support implementation of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, etc.).
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of mechanical & electrical system troubleshooting.
Good leadership and team management skills.
Ability to read technical diagrams, manuals, and engineering drawings.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Proficient in maintenance software (CMMS) and MS Office.
Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies.
