Job Description

Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repairs

: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and systems to keep them running efficiently and safely.

Troubleshooting

: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues and resolve them in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

Inspection

: Regularly inspect machinery and equipment for signs of wear, damage, or malfunction and perform preventative maintenance.

Documentation

: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, including parts used and time spent.

Safety Compliance

: Ensure that all equipment and systems comply with safety regulations and standards, taking appropriate measures to prevent accidents.

Equipment Installation

: Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment, ensuring they are properly set up and functioning.

Parts Management

: Maintain an inventory of parts, tools, and supplies needed for maintenance work, ordering replacements as needed.

Collaboration

: Work with other technicians, engineers, or production teams to resolve complex issues and improve operational efficiency.

Emergency Repairs

: Respond quickly to emergency repair requests, troubleshooting and resolving issues to restore operations.

Continuous Improvement

: Suggest and implement improvements to maintenance processes and equipment performance.

Specifications:

Education

: A high school diploma is typically required, though a degree in logistics, business administration, or a related field is often preferred.

Experience

: Several years of experience in fleet management or administration. Experience in a transportation or logistics role is highly beneficial.

Technical Skills

: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). Knowledge of GPS tracking systems, vehicle telematics, and data analysis tools.

Driving License

: A valid driver's license may be necessary, and knowledge of transportation regulations, road safety, and vehicle handling.

Knowledge of Laws & Regulations

: Familiarity with local, state, and national laws regarding transportation, fleet operation, and safety regulations.

: Pays close attention to the condition of equipment and identifies even minor issues before they become major problems.

: Takes preventative measures to avoid equipment breakdowns or system failures.
