About the role

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for repairing pumps, welders, and performing steel fabrication work. This role requires expertise in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving equipment issues to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

Working Hours and Schedule:

• Working hours: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Alternate Saturdays will be worked with two other technicians.
• On Sundays, technicians will be on standby at home for emergency call-outs.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for adhering to and fulfilling company policies and requirements.
• Assist the Mechanical Supervisor in the maintenance and repair of company equipment.
• Assist the Mechanical Supervisor in metal fabrication work.
• Assist the Mechanical Supervisor in monitoring all equipment, such as vibration monitoring, temperature monitoring, and more.
• Utilize the SAP system for equipment notification and work order management.
• Assist the Mechanical Supervisor in ensuring the efficient operation of the workshop and engineering stores.
• Provide assistance during annual shutdowns, repair works, and investigations on pressure vessels, pumps, and other equipment as directed.
• Assist in the implementation of preventive maintenance systems.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness in the workshop and its surroundings.
• Be available for emergency calls at any time.
• Be willing to work overtime when required.
• Responsible for practicing the 5S work culture in the work area.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental conservation activities through the ISO 14001 system.
• Member of the firefighting team during shifts.
• Responsible for implementing and adhering to ISO 9002 work procedures in the work area.
• Comply with and implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in accordance with the status as a food manufacturing plant.
• Perform other assigned tasks as directed or requested.

Qualifications and skills

• Possess a Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Mechanical Technicians should have a minimum of 2 years of working experience in industrial processes.
• Experience in metal fabrication work is required. (Proficient in welding techniques such as arc welding, gas welding, and metal cutting techniques)
• Knowledge and experience with SAP system is an advantage.
• Proficient in computer usage.
