The Management Trainee program is designed to groom fresh graduates into future leaders within the steel distribution industry. The trainee will undergo structured rotations across key operational functions--including sales, procurement, logistics, warehouse operations, and administrative management--to gain holistic exposure to the company's workflow.
Graduates with strong analytical skills, adaptability, and the ability to communicate in Mandarin will have an added advantage due to frequent interactions with suppliers and stakeholders.
2. Key Responsibilities. Rotational Training
Participate in planned job rotations across various departments (Sales, Procurement, Operations, Logistics, Warehouse & Inventory, Quality Control, Finance Admin).
Assist department heads on daily operational tasks and special assignments.
Learn end-to-end steel distribution processes, including material sourcing, pricing, stock control, and customer service.
B. Operations & Process Improvement
Support process mapping and improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Monitor inventory accuracy, assist in stock checks, and help implement warehouse best practices.
Compile departmental data and prepare performance reports.
C. Sales & Customer Support
Assist the sales team with customer enquiries, quotation preparation, and order coordination.
Learn steel product specifications, grades, sizes, and common industry applications.
Build and maintain professional relationships with customers and suppliers.
D. Reporting & Documentation
Prepare training progress reports and submit weekly updates to management.
Generate business analysis reports, including sales performance, market trends, and cost review.
Maintain proper documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
3. RequirementsEducation & Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Added Advantage
Ability to communicate in
Mandarin
(spoken and written) to liaise with Mandarin-speaking suppliers and stakeholders.
Knowledge of steel products or industrial environment (training will be provided).
