KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Investment Analysis

• Develop customized project model, analysis and business case to support investment decisions.
• Build close collaboration with various functions to ensure robustness and best practice of the project modelling and analysis.
• Responsible to benchmark similar projects, including tariff, costing, key financial indicators, etc.

2. Regional Investment and New Business Growth Evaluation

• Develop customized project model and analysis to support business expansion opportunities.
• Study the applicability of modelling assumptions for regional investment (eg: Weighted Average Capital Cost (WACC), tax, levy, etc.).
• Perform sensitivity analysis in managing the uncertainties and risks.

3. Commercial Maturation & Value Management

• Responsible to customize tariff model for commercial negotiation purpose.
• Translate the modelling output to support management decision making to achieve intended strategy.
• Provide support on commercial maturation development to position Sarawak Energy strategically, to maximize value delivery in achieving Group and business objectives.

CHALLENGES OF THE JOB:

• To perform all tasks in line with the Information Security Quality Manual (ISQM) and the ISMS roles and responsibilities procedure.
• To perform all tasks in line with the Information Governance Policy Suite and Guidelines.

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Degree in Engineering, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 10 years on the job experience, preferably with working knowledge in modelling and analysis, project or business assessment.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:
1. Sound understanding of business analysis, including capital investment appraisal techniques for setting strategic/ business plan and supporting decision making in the areas of strategic planning.
2. Evaluate potential investment opportunities/ crisis through scenario analysis and create business cases to support the recommended proposal/ strategy.
3. Ability to interpret the meaning of complex and unstructured analysis through application of value-based decision making to achieve Sarawak Energy\'s objectives and maximize value delivery.
4. Good business acumen & commercial background.
5. Promotes standards, consistency and quality on business analysis including the courage to challenge assumptions.
6. Problem solving and analytical skills covering strategic, technical and operational problems in the context of ambiguity and change.
7. Strong written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
