JOB SUMMARY

Develop and implement institutional brand strategy and communications strategies in line with the University's brand and values. Facilitate execution of communication strategies to produce, publish and distribute innovative, engaging and purposeful communications content across multiple external and internal platforms. Lead event communication strategy and execution for major university events and initiatives. Manage complex content and communications tasks, particularly those that involve sensitive subject matters. Work collaboratively with Faculties, Schools, and Units within the University, which depend on high quality content to ensure the university is achieving maximum impact for the content that it creates. Provide executive communication support for the office of Pro Vice-Chancellor & Chief Executive Officer Lead the development of media relations strategies and annual media engagement plans. Review and approve high-profile press releases, media statements, and sensitive communications materials. Provide strategic direction for press conferences, media briefings, and major media engagement activities Ensure the University's communication materials are compliant with relevant external statutory requirements Lead and mentor a group of professional communication staff. Manage the University's relationships with relevant suppliers, agencies, government and statutory bodies, etc. Develop briefs and tenders and negotiate service level agreements and contracts to ensure the University receives optimal levels of service from these providers.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, media and/or other related discipline from a recognised institution A minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience, and minimum of two (2) years of experience in a leadership role or management experience Working experience in corporate communications, marketing, public relations, media or a related field.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
