Role Responsibilities

JOB SCOPE

As a senior developer, you'll be responsible for delivering quality software to tight timelines. Based in GBS MY and working in a dynamic global team with other technologists, business analysts, project managers and business stakeholders across multiple locations.

Key Attributes

• An excellent JavaScript (TypeScript) developer with good software design principles and the ability to write robust code and accompanying test suites
• Ability to design and build smart, scalable solutions to tight deadlines
• Ability to write efficient, clear code and be able to articulate what has been implemented and why
• Experience working in an agile development environment
• Self-starter who can drive/facilitate requirements and development effort
• Take ownership and responsibility for the full development lifecycle
• A team player, capable of engaging with other teams in Technology
• Experience in the end-to-end design, development and support of data analytics systems
• Provide second line support
• Familiarity with React, npm/yarn and webpack
• Familiarity with Rx a plus
• Familiarity with Java a plus

• Familiarity with real-time messaging architectures a plus
• Familiarity or experience in Single Page Application development a plus

Primary skills:

• 5+ years hands on development with investment banking IT experience
• Core JavaScript (essential), with TypeScript, Java, C# or Scala a plus
• Strong CSS
• Single page modular application development
• Ability to develop latency sensitive systems
• Agile development
• Understanding of real time application development
• Experience with git and Atlassian toolset

Secondary skills:

• Realtime Business Data Analytics Knowledge or Similar Concept
• Proficiency in Data visualization and presentation
• Hands on experience of using data to improve processes, client experience and risk.
• Six sigma lean certification will be added plus
• Solution-oriented with "go-getter" personality.
• Willing to try new ways to solve old problems.

• Confident, independent, and adaptable.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

• Understanding of statistics and related application in machine learning and data science.
• Experience in end to end analytics delivery from data ingestion to data preparation to data visualization
• Familiar with data sourcing, data capture, data transformation and data preparation techniques.
• Knowledge of databases, Extract-Transform-Load, and hands on experience / theoretical knowledge in SQL/Hive including writing stored procedures and data extraction / manipulation using queries

• Fluent in English (speaking and writing)

• Ability to work under pressure with multiple assignments

General:

• Strong architectural and engineering background with experience of delivery.
• Strong web development skills, preferable using real time messaging over web-sockets
• Strong knowledge and previous experience in end-to-end design, development, and subsequent support of large-scale feature rich web applications
• Familiarity and confidence working in an agile development environment.
• Someone who can drive / facilitate the requirements and development effort with the business.
