Job Description

We're looking for a Manager, Data Engineering and IT to lead and build up our data and technology operations. This hybrid role combines technical expertise in database design and data warehousing with leadership in IT infrastructure and team management.

You'll be responsible for building and optimizing databases, ensuring seamless data access for the business, and overseeing the reliability, security, and scalability of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:-

Design, develop, and optimize databases to ensure seamless data access and performance. Collaborate with business leaders to understand data and reporting needs, providing tailored solutions. Troubleshoot and maintain database-related issues, ensuring uptime and reliability. Maintain clear and detailed documentation of database architectures, schemas, and processes. Support data warehousing initiatives, ensuring smooth integration with business intelligence tools. Oversee all hardware and software systems used by the business, ensuring stability, security, and scalability. Coordinate upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure. Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security measures. Ensure compliance with company standards, data governance, and regulatory requirements. Provide guidance on best practices for IT operations, databases, and reporting. Foster collaboration between IT, data, and business teams to align technology with organizational goals. Promote continuous improvement, automation, and innovation within the IT function.

Job Requirements:-

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL and Google AppSheet. Familiarity with Google BigQuery or similar data warehousing platforms. Solid understanding of ETL processes, database optimization, and performance tuning. Proven experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, and systems administration. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to translate technical data concepts into actionable business insights.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
