Requirements
Education/ Professional Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred
• Proven experience in managing data platforms and data engineering teams
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, and ETL processes
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Proficiency in SQL and other data manipulation languages
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Professional Experience

• Minimum of 4 years relevant Data Platform and People Manager Experience required:
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and Cloud services (Azure, AWS and/or GCP)
• Certification in relevant data platform technologies or data management

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of the data platform
• Manage a team of data engineers and platform specialists
• Ensure the data platform supports the organization's analytics and business intelligence requirements
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions
• Implement best practices for data pipeline management, data integration, and data security
• Monitor and optimize the performance of the data platform
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data platform management
• Enforce data governance policies and procedures
