As a Manager - Revenue, you will be responsible for managing the Distribution Revenue team, providing guidance on processes and procedures, solving problems, ensuring a positive working relationship within the team, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will be a key contributor in the accounting leadership team and dedicated to the Micron Values of collaboration, customer focus, tenacity, innovation, and people. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Oversee distribution revenue accounting process, including reconciling inventory activity and balances with our distributors, point-of-sales activity, and validating claims for credit submitted from our customers Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations during month-end close Provide adequate supervision of the distribution revenue accounting team to ensure that all team members are providing quality customer service Ensure compliance with Company policies and SOX controls by adhering to internal control requirements, maintaining updated documentation, and providing recommendations for improvement and changes Drive process improvement, automation, and standardization Establish and maintain cooperative and productive work relationships Proactively engage with stakeholders to resolve challenges and recommend solutions to improve where necessary Develop goals for direct reports and distribution revenue accounting team to align with department and company objectives Actively train direct reports to ensure each report\'s job performance is at least proficient Monitor individual team member performance relative to their team and individual goals and provide direction through periodic performance evaluations to ensure performance expectations are met or exceeded Conduct performance management activities consisting of performance ratings for direct reports and recommend compensation in compliance with Company policies and procedures Establish plans and objectives for the functional group and at organization level for Global Finance Center of Excellence Support an indirect matrix-style reporting structure with corporate headquarters regarding the subject matter of revenue accounting while supporting a direct reporting structure regarding personnel management and service-center initiatives Key Skills and Competencies: Strong team-player with experience working in a dynamic organization and demonstrated ability to build bridges between stakeholders Ability to work within a matrix-reporting structure with both an indirect reporting structure to corporate headquarters on the subject matter of revenue accounting while being responsible for the personnel-related matters to a direct reporting structure in the service center Strong in-person and virtual communication, tactful in negotiation and ability to influence others Strong analytical skills with deep understanding of business principles and practices Ability to manage change sensitively and in a collaborative manner Ability to attract, develop, and retain outstanding talent Contribute to the execution of key global strategic initiatives and projects Ability to succinctly explain financial matters to non-finance personnel Demonstrate and maintain a positive customer service focus to both internal and external customers, including coordination of team deliverables for audits Demonstrate agility and flexibility to maneuver ad hoc tasks, projects, and challenges Education & Experience Required: Bachelor\'s Degree in Finance or Accounting, or Qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA) 10+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Reporting, with preference in the distribution business 5+ years in leadership role Process automation, with experience in in LEAN, 6-Sigma, or RPA a preference About Micron Technology, Inc.
