Job Description

Key Responsibilities1. Financial Leadership & Strategy



Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures that support the company's short- and long-term objectives. Advise management and the Board on financial planning, risk management, and investment opportunities. Provide strategic input on business expansion, project financing, and corporate restructuring. Lead budgeting and forecasting exercises across all divisions (construction, interior design, parking, and facility management).

2. Financial Operations & Reporting



Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger. Ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with MFRS/IFRS standards. Review and analyze financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization. Supervise consolidation of group accounts and management of subsidiaries or JV entities.

3. Treasury & Cash Flow Management



Manage company cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure smooth project and operational financing. Oversee bank facilities (overdrafts, term loans, revolving credit, trade facilities, and bid bonds). Liaise with banks, financial institutions, and investors for funding arrangements, guarantees, and project financing. Monitor collections, payments, and maintain an efficient credit control system.

4. Taxation & Compliance



Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements under LHDN, SST, EPF, SOCSO, HRDF, and other relevant authorities. Oversee corporate tax planning, capital allowance claims, and transfer pricing documentation. Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulators for annual audits and filings. Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 financial governance clauses where applicable.

5. Internal Control & Risk Management



Establish and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity. Identify financial and operational risks, implementing mitigation strategies and audit trails. Periodically review procurement, payment approval, and cost control procedures for accountability and transparency.

6. Team Leadership & Development



Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team, ensuring high performance and continuous professional development. Foster collaboration with project, procurement, and contract departments for accurate financial reporting and cost control. Build succession planning and strengthen the department's analytical and digital finance capabilities (ERP/Autocount/SQL).

Qualifications & Experience



Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent;

Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or MIA membership)

required. Minimum

10 years' experience

, including 5 years in a senior finance or head of department role, preferably in

construction, engineering, or property development

. Strong knowledge of

MFRS

,

Malaysian Companies Act 2016

, and

corporate tax law

. Proven experience in financial modeling, project financing, and dealing with financial institutions. Familiar with

ERP/Accounting software

(e.g., SQL, Autocount, SAP, or Oracle).
