Finance Business Service Centre: The Future of Finance is Strategic!
Established in Kuala Lumpur in early 2017, the BSC Finance manages financial transactions for Air Liquide entities in the Southeast Asia Pacific region, covering the transactions related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables and Collections as well as General Ledger. Backed by a highly experienced group of finance personnel, the team work on Continuous Improvement Projects that leverage on new and emerging technologies as well as automation to drive operational and cost efficiencies, while progressively increasing expertise to enlarge the scope of activities such as reporting and IFRS 16 implementation.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Financial accounting and audit
Working closely with the whole Business Service Center (BSC) Finance organization (AP, AR,CM) to deliver timely the monthly results
Preparing supporting schedule to assist in the preparation of financial reports, as requested (P&L, B/S, Cash Flow)
Controlling B/S items such as advance, prepaid and accrual account for month end close process
Ensuring integrity of balance sheet via reconciliation and perform journal adjustments when required
Conduct internal control activities in accordance with group policies reporting
Assisting in developing the reporting processes for centralisation initiative with objective of sustainable cost structure and quality of deliverable
Preparing financial reporting for consolidation within IRIS consolidation tool or other, on a timely manner
Ensuring tax and other local compliance in a good conditions
Have regular meetings with local affiliates in order to follow action plan for transition and give them global visibility on their Financial statements
Supervise overall GL transactions and reporting activities & assist in the transition of knowledge transfer from selected countries into the BSC Finance.
Key knowledge owner of IRIS reporting (Group Reporting) & deliver training to the team members in the BSC Finance.
Responsible for deliverable quality of the team & involve or lead in Finance Process Improvement Project from time to time.
Responsible for a health Internal Control stage for the company
Conduct necessary compliance activities for tax and local regulations
Perform reconciliation between local GAAP and IFRS GAAP
Are you a MATCH?
At least 5-8 years in Shared Service finance & accounting environment is preferred
Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, local and international accounting standards
Strong ability to comment the performance of the company based on the financial statements
Ability to connect with the whole Shared Service Finance organization to understand the full processes of the different functions
Ability to work in a fast pace environment as well as strong customer relationship skill
Possess leadership/team management & team player qualities and takes initiative and ownership of assigned duties
Possess evidences of continuous improvement contribution in current or previous employment history
Possess good experience in participating in migration
Required to have people management experience of at least 4 team members
Must be fluent in both English and Japanese languages, both verbal and written. Preferably certified in JLPT N1/N2 or some years of study or lived in Japan.
