Gather, organize and manage all the necessary data related to the grant activities.
Provide key data necessary for grant commitment tracking and grant accruals.
Assemble, validate and retain required grant related information from various sources, including PO, Invoices, Quotations, payment reports, bank statements, etc.
Extract, organize and retain required grant related document softcopy for audit and verification purposes.
Track and report on grant assets status, including GR/IR status, capitalization, payment status.
Track and report on the grant non-asset status, such as manpower related expense (salary, training expense, etc), material and consumables related expense, etc
Drive collaboration and ensure accountability with internal teams, including across Finance (FA, AP, GL, Payroll, Treasury, etc), to assemble the required grant related information.
Support grant reviews with Global Operations, Finance Leadership and project owners on the grant status as needed
Partner with Grants Accounting team for timely and accurate grant accruals
Qualifications & Skills
Experience in grant management or accounting or audit background.
Experience in handling audits, dealing with external auditor or government authorities.
Positive outlook with a growth mindset and strong dedication to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
Strong ability to perform in an environment characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA)
Strong collaboration across functions, especially within Finance
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Organized and meticulous, with a strong focus on accuracy
Experience with Data Management preferred
Good written and verbal English-language communication skills. Japanese language skills (oral and/or written) would be an advantage.
Education And Experience
Bachelor and/or Masters' degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Management or related fields.
Work experience or internship in Finance, Accounting, with exposure to Data Management within Finance or related fields would be helpful.
