KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Develop and create strategic action plans and initiatives to ensure efficient project implementation and cost control to achieve divisional and departmental goals.
• Effective implementation and completion of distribution substation and monopole projects in accordance to the contract specifications, project timelines and with the project costs.
• Effective coordination and liaison with project owner, consultants, or relevant authorities/departments in the preliminary design stage of the projects.
• Ensure that the project site meets the statutory requirements including safety, environment, and all necessary permits.
• Ensure civil engineering drawings (civil and structural) submitted by consultants or Turnkey contractors are properly checked and in compliance with SEB\'s requirements and cost efficient prior to approval.
• Monitor progress of DPE\'s Civil Section action plans, KPIs performance regularly for reporting to Senior Manager.
• Assist Distribution Planning & Services (DP&S) on substation site selection.
• Assist Distribution/Regional Offices to endorse Traffic Management Plan for submission of wayleave application for cable laying works to JKR.
• Provide conceptual design to Distribution Planning & Services (DP&S) for submission to State Planning Authority for siting approval.
• Provide technical support and advice to Distribution Planning & Services (DP&S) on all substation proposals submitted by developer/consultant.
• Assist Senior Manager to develop and maintain a sound organization plan to provide adequate Middle Management, Executive/Non-Executive development to ensure capable succession with minimum competency gap.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and directions to subordinates in terms of executing responsibilities to ensure a competent and motivated team.

QUALIFICATION/ WORK EXPERIENCE:

QUALIFICATIONS (List down the minimum qualifications required)

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Possess Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate (PEPC) Status

EXPERIENCE (List down the minimum years and type of experience required)

• More than 10 years of working experience in substation civil and structural work
• Experience in the project and contract management would be an added advantage

SPECIAL ASPECTS/MAJOR CHALLENGES OF THE JOB:

• To perform all tasks in line with the Information Security Quality Manual (ISQM) and the ISMS roles and responsibilities procedure.
• To perform all tasks in line with the Information Governance Policy Suite and Guidelines.
• Many urgent projects to complete within shortest time possible.
