The Core Job: Timely preparation, review, and submission of the periodic financial performance of the company as well as information required to obtain approval from management, the board of directors, and regulators. Perform an analytical review and provide an explanation relating to financial results, accounts, and disclosures to management and the board of directors Timely preparation of budget and forecast submission to management and board of directors. preparation of audited financial statements and schedules for auditors for an annual audit of statutory financial statements. Ensure that periodic financial statements and disclosures are in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. to assist in the preparation of Audit Committee and Board papers for submission to the respective committees. Liaise with auditors on issues relating to the annual audit, bankers, tax agents, and company secretary. Examine the appropriateness of journal vouchers before posting them into the SAP system, and handle month-end financial closing for management reporting. Continuous improvement in reporting systems and procedures that support the company's reporting, including GL and SAP set up. Coordinate and liaise with internal and external auditors, subsidiaries, and management on timelines, schedules, and reports pertaining to periodic reporting requirements. Handle day-to-day operational issues while also assisting with corporate matters and ad hoc assignments. Experience/Education Prior experience in Life Insurance Finance function in a managerial role. Candidate should possess a Diploma / Advanced Diploma, Professional Certificates, bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance / Accountancy / Banking at least 10 years of related working experience. Preferably Manager specializing in Accounting or Auditing or equivalent. Extra Bonus points for: Good communication skills in English and the Malay language for both spoken and written familiarity with life insurance financial reporting, MFRS requirements, and BNM compliance matters You are familiar with MFRS17 compliance or a financial reporting system.
