BASF (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd was incorporated in 1989, and operates main office in Bandar Utama and a manufacturing plant in Pasir Gudang in Johor, as well as an operational site in Kulim, Kedah. BASF Asia-Pacific Service Centre Sdn Bhd began its operation in 2005. Located in Kuala Lumpur, the Shared Services Center provides functional services in the areas of finance, controlling, information services, human resources, environment, health & safety, procurement and import-export order management to BASF Group companies in 19 markets across Asia Pacific. BASF Services (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, established in 1997, provides infrastructure and utilities support services to BASF sites in Malaysia. BASF holds 60% of its joint venture BASF PETRONAS Chemicals Sdn Bhd, which operates a state-of-the-art Verbund production site in the Gebeng Industrial Zone, Pahang, and 50% of Toray BASF PBT Resin Sdn Bhd. Objectives of the Position

• Manage and maximize the profitability of EDD in ASEAN & ANZ
• Develop and implement monthly OMP volume / pricing strategy as well as concrete pricing guideline
• Manage and maximize the asset utilization and profitability of ASEAN OMP assets, drive asset portfolio optimization
• Initiate and facilitate product transfer / localization to optimize asset portfolio with production, EDV, Technical Service and SCM to increase proximity to customers or to reduce complexity at plant.
• Counterpart to the Regional PM to expedite the implementation & execution of defined regional measures in subregions (i.e. Product Flow, New Product Launch, Banyan projects, etc)

Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities:

Margins & Pricing:

• Conduct monthly monomer cost estimation by plant taking into consideration inventory value, consumptions, and coming month market price based on input from Procurement and market intelligence from various channels
• Develop monthly OMP pricing / volume strategy based on asset utilization situation, monomer price, plant RMC, and downstream market sentiment in alignment with sales
• Develop and communicate concrete OMP pricing guideline for respective product groups and SBUs
• Final check point for pricing decision and manage approval in PMM
• Evaluate and advise on rebate schemes

Assets:

• Manage asset capacity allocation when demand exceeds supply to ensure sustainable business growth and margin optimizations
• Optimize product portfolio in ASEAN asset, regularly monitor production output and profitability, propose and drive measures.
• Actively drive measures to reduce idle capacity together with SCM, sales and marketing teams

Products:

• Initiate and manage OMP product transfer between assets with production, EDV, Technical Service and SCM to increase proximity to customers or to reduce complexity at plant.
• Coordinate product localization projects (from outside of AP) with production, EDV, Technical Service, SCM, and Marketing
• Oversee and support Raw Material qualification activities to capture saving opportunities or eliminate Single Source to ensure production continuity.

Job Requirements

• Education : Bachelor\'s degree or above in Business, Marketing, or Finance. Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is a plus
• Working Experiences : At least 5 years\' experience in Product Management, Marketing or other Commercial / Business functions.
