Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure the company\'s reputation is protected and all communication with the media and relevant external stakeholders are structured, coordinated, and consistent in manner.
• Manage, supervise and oversee the MIM team and their activities, projects and assignments.
• Cultivate and establish good working relationships within the media and publicity community to ensure the company\'s reputation is promoted and criticism are deflected.
• Manage the flow of news about the company to the media.
• Plan, oversee and manage press events when necessary.
• Provide proofing, editing and composition for communication material including but not limited to; press releases, media packs or factsheets, articles, Media broadcast scripts or storyboards, interviews, social media, issues or crisis holding and position statements; and media updates.
• Prepare content in the form of press releases, communication dockets or song sheets, spokesperson\'s talking points, potential or pre-assigned questions & answers, interviews, responses, sponsorships and advertorials for the media.
• Provide content and editorial, as well as Media Engagement support for events when required.
• Manage all steps of writing projects, from information gathering to content development, review, editing, design, proofreading and final publication/broadcast.
• Proof, edit and/or review assignments by the Media & Issues Management team prior to escalation per Media Protocol.
• Optimise communication channels and platform creatively to amplify news on the company and its development for effective communication including corporate social media and website.
• Responsible for analytics, media landscapes and reporting including but not limited to, publicity mileage and/or post-issues analysis for corporate social media accounts, corporate website, all other media.
• Compliance custodian for Reputation Management Plan and Crisis Communications Plan in compliance to applicable PPGs and corporate Media Protocol.
• Detect public relations issues as they emerge and address them accordingly.
• Ensure the company\'s media spokesperson is given the necessary support, guidance, and training.
• Produce and manage/update Reputation Management Issues Matrix & Briefs.
• Take on an active support role in Crisis Communication & Business Continuity Management.
• Any other relevant/ appropriate tasks as assigned by line Manager.

Qualification & Work Experience:

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Communication/ Journalism/ Public Relations/ Advertising/ Social Science/ Management/ Business/ Marketing/ English Language & Literature or equivalent with at least ten (10) years of relevant work experience and with at least three (3) years managerial experience.
• In the fields of or related to Corporate Communication/ Media/ Public Relations/ Advertising and Marketing Communication/ Brand/ Campaign and Management.
• Has good understanding and knowledge on Corporate Communication, Reputation Management, Media Management and Publicity Campaign.
