Shimizu Corporation, one of the top & largest construction company in Japan, capable of design & build some of the most complex projects worldwide, with presence more than 40 countries. The company ventured into Malaysia since 1982. https://www.shimz.co.jp/en/ In Malaysia, our clients are mainly multinational corporation and Japanese companies. We mainly build high-end industrial facilities (semiconductors, production factories, data centers) and some general buildings. We target to significantly grow our Malaysian presence to be the company\'s biggest overseas office. In line with this, we are expanding our ogrnisation in multiple departments including Business Development team. You will be part of the Business Development department, reporting to Deputy Country Head cum Head of Business Development, and collaborating with Malaysia office departments and Japan HQ departments, to develop business strategy and implement actions that will secure quality projects and generate business for Malaysia office. Work Location to be in Shimizu Corporation Malaysia Office, Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Jalan Sultan Ismail. Responsibilities Marketing - Assist in market esearch, capture new project leads, follow up and develop the new opportunities, establish connection to new potential clients (Multinational Corporation clients & Japanese clients), conduct presentations & marketing activities, maintain key account management, assist & coordinate tender exercise among departments, other activities that will contribute to successfully securing the project. General Document Preparations - preparing project-specific prequalification documents, contractor registration documents, project brief, market research report, minutes of meeting etc. Marketing Materials - creating and publishing market-specific materials including presentation, company profile, project references, case studies, capability statements, brochure etc. Capture project references and case studies and build repository of track record. Collaborate with multiple department to collect necessary information and compile the documents above. Internal Company Procedure - conduct registration & updating of new project data in the company\'s internal database on regular basis. Conduct internal application process to obtain approval for client company credit research, non-disclosure agreement, contract document etc. Maintain the quality and consistency of the company\'s professional image in all client communications etc. Domestic travel (mainly Penang, Sembilan, Melaka, Johor) and sometimes overseas travel to meet clients. Other duties as assigned by Deputy Country Head.cum Head of Business Development Qualifications Bachelor of Science in relevant field - Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Commerce etc. Able to handle business development for Multinational Corporation clients (mainly US, European) and Japanese clients. Work experience in construction industry is strongly preferred - understanding construction market, expectations, clients\' requirements etc. Excellent verbal and written English - able to generate decent writing for documents, run presentations etc that leave a good impression to clients. Proficciency in Japanese language is strongly preferred - new project registration database system is in Japanese. Also for ease for communication with Japan HQ. Experience working in multinational corporation and understand the environment, processes, work culture. Excellent interpersonal skill - socialable, presentable, passionate to interact with new people and expand network in the industry. Disciplined, self-driven and require minimal supervision for consistent productivity. Curious and continuously learning. Nationality: Local Malaysian or Japanese.
