OverviewThe candidate will assume a key managerial role overseeing the People & Support functions at the Penang branch for a team of 120 employees. This role requires leadership in managing payroll, driving people & culture initiatives, and ensuring the efficient operation of day-to-day activities. The candidate will collaborate closely with the head office in Kuala Lumpur to align with organizational goals, maintain operational excellence, and ensure the smooth execution of key business functionsKey ResponsibilitiesFinance

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to drive informed decision-making
  • Oversee financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate insights for senior leadership
  • Manage cash flow to maintain liquidity and financial stability
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and lead audits to uphold transparency and integrity
Human Resources & Payroll
  • Drive recruitment and onboarding strategies to build a high-performance team
  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements
  • Lead staff engagement initiatives to foster a positive and motivated work culture
  • Address employee relations matters, maintaining a supportive and productive environment
Administration
  • Oversee preparation of key reports for regulatory compliance and audits
  • Manage office operations, ensuring efficient facilities and resource utilization
  • Lead vendor negotiations to secure cost-effective and high-quality services
Education and professional skills / knowledgeExperience & Education:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in in Human Resources, Business Administration or any related fields
  • With at least four(4) years of experience in related fields
  • Have at least two(2) years of experience in leading and managing teams
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Other skills:
  • Possess strong people management, interpersonal and communications skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent command of English
  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
