Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and develop a team of QC analysts and laboratory assistants, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement Oversee all laboratory operations including testing schedules, resource allocation, and workflow optimization Evaluate and approve raw materials, packaging components, and finished products according to established specifications Review and authorize analytical test results, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements Develop and maintain quality control documentation including SOPs, test methods, specifications, and validation protocols Manage laboratory assets including equipment calibration, maintenance, and qualification programs Oversee inventory management of reagents, reference standards, and laboratory consumables Coordinate with contract laboratories for specialized testing, ensuring quality and timeliness of outsourced work Lead analytical method validation/verification projects to support product development and lifecycle management Represent the QC department during regulatory inspections and customer audits Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency and compliance

Requirements & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Microbiology, or related scientific field; advanced degree preferred Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical quality control, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity Strong analytical troubleshooting skills and familiarity with modern analytical techniques Excellent project management abilities with demonstrated success in handling multiple priorities Outstanding leadership capabilities with experience developing high-performing teams Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with all organizational levels Meticulous attention to detail and strong documentation practices
