Summary

Job Purpose:
This is a Greater Asia Regional role based in Kuala Lumpur, Malayasia with responsibilities for the analysis, management and execution of logistics and transportation across all business segments of BD. He/ She will analyze performance, lead-time, and supply chain costs; and will then drive continuous improvement programs and initiatives with BD source sites, with our distributors, and with our logistics and transportation providers for the Greater Asia Region.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:

  • Collaborate with Global & Regional Transportation, Business and Functional teams in regions and countries to review and improve international and local delivery performance, supply chain quality and supply chain cost.
  • Run daily and weekly transportation and logistics forums across global and country teams, ensuring clear visibility on delivery performance and supply risks.
  • Drive & Lead Country/Region Logistics S&OE and monthly forums with clear actionable for closed loop decision making.
  • Actively participate and represent in Global Logistics meetings (S&OE, Monthly reviews etc.) and Greater Asia Planning forums (BDX S&OE etc.)
  • Oversee logistics execution through the Control Tower, relevant dashboards, tracking KPIs, ensuring on time delivery for inbound shipments (IBD) and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with Global Transportation and Supply planning for monthly lead time review
  • Partner with supply planning, customer service, and manufacturing teams to manage exceptions and recovery plans for delayed shipments.
  • Collaborate and participate in real-time execution and expedited on shipment execution with BD site (NA, LATAM, EMEA, Greater Asia), BD supplier and freight forwarder
  • Ensure consistent and data-driven decision-making across S&OE forums
  • Drive logistics operations excellence (inclusive of Cold Chain), shipment reliability, shipment discrepancy and damages, track & trace initiatives and quality/compliance
  • Participating in Global freight forwarder in monthly business review
  • Collaborating with Greater Asia Trade Compliance, Country Logistics on logistics support & execution
Continuous Improvement & Projects
  • Identify and recommend process enhancements to improve lead times, service levels, and visibility.
  • Support control tower upgrades and digital transformation projects in logistics.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving ability that allows for effective and timely resolution of process related. Work with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Understand latest technology development related to Logistics, build Business Case and implement Preparation of KPI and logistics report
  • Support Global/Region transportation in the preparation work for CI/Kaizen related to Logistics Execution/Network Optimization/RFQ etc.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned
Stakeholder Management & Communication
  • Serve as key liaison between global logistics, country operations, and planning teams to close the loop on issues.
  • Present performance summaries and improvement plans during regional and global logistics meetings.
  • Build strong working relationships across functions and geographies to ensure alignment on logistics strategy.
  • Develop and mentor team members on logistics operations, data analysis, and digital tools.
  • Support capability building and cross-functional collaboration
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8-10 years' experience in logistics execution, transportation management, or supply chain operations within a regional or global organization.
  • Proven experience managing Control Tower operations (Blue Yonder preferred).
  • Strong background in S&OE, stakeholder engagement, and program management.
  • Exposure to both sea/air freight operations and understanding of international operations/logistics. Demonstrated ability to lead forums, influence cross-functional teams, and deliver measurable results.
