Job Description

Job Summary The Research & Development Manager will be responsible and accountable for the internal product development pipeline and to manage and oversee personnel involved in project implementation and execution of planned development activities. Furthermore, the Research & Development Manager will provide technical support to cross-functional departments such as Regulatory Affairs and Quality Departments. Central to this role, this position will be responsible for development project planning/strategy and project management across multiple approved company projects at any one time according to timelines and budget parameters. Also need to use creative abilities and research methods to improve existing products based on industry trends and develop new products to meet the needs of the company\xe2\x80\x99s target market. You are expected to report on any technical product issues that are discovered during evaluation and manage product testing and trials, assessing the materials used, the efficiency of the process, and the effectiveness of the final product. Key Responsibilities

• Develop research programs incorporating current developments to improve existing products / formulas, study the potential of new products and propose & develop new formula / products.
• Oversee research projects, analyse results, and provide recommendations based on findings.
• Act as the first reference point for all product-related enquiries and work collaboratively with colleagues in Research to address any issue that may arise.
• Propose formula based on warehouse surplus raw material.
• Sourcing, analysing, testing and proposing for new alternative raw materials.
• Research on current market trends and competitor products.
• Fully in charge of customer product formulation, sampling, and any issue of post-production.
• Provide advice on client and sales inquiry and provide technical/ scientific advice
• Responsible for the research project of patent ingredient, method or product.
• Suggest idea for improving product margin (specification & costing).
• Ensure all the changes on formula being tracked, monitored and recorded.
• Perform expressed or implied duties required by superior or company.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree, Chemistry, Pharmacy/Pharmacology, Biotechnology, Food Science or equivalent field
• Excellent knowledge in food sciences with minimum of 5 years industrial experience in R&D food environment
• Required languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin
• Good personality and positive working attitudes, responsible, self-discipline and dedicated.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and creative mindset
• Ability to work well under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time Salary: RM5,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Puchong: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• RnD: 5 years (Preferred)

Language:
