RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
  • Commit to ensure the stability and effectiveness of the data platform systems managed by the team
  • Commit to maintain a compliant system
  • Commit to help business to deliver their agenda by understanding their priorities so that the right expectation can be set with all impacted parties involved in managing the systems in scope
Business
  • To manage the production effectiveness of the Data Platform applications and to ensure system and process efficiencies are maximized
Processes
  • To manage BAU governance controls and assurance process effectiveness from business owner\xe2\x80\x99s standpoint and to ensure the applications managed by the team are meeting the Group standards
People & Talent
  • Must be a team player, able to work well with internal team members and other business teams/technology teams in ensuring the stability and effectiveness of the Data Platform applications.
Risk Management
  • Ability to keep abreast with latest Group policies impacting the data platform applications and to understand and translate that into appropriate controls and measures to be applied in the systems in collaboration with Compliance/Governance/Technology teams
Governance
  • Ensuring the data platform applications managed by the team are governed strictly in accordance to the agreed internal/Group standard and processes.

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.   • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science related disciplines
  • At least 6+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in similar roles
  • Strong technical knowledge on Data Warehouse ex. the components, tools, input, output, the data model, the controls/assurance process
  • Strong knowledge on controls/standards to be applied on data warehouse platform
  • Prior experience on people management skills
  • Broad understanding of banking system/products offered
  • Working knowledge in Hadoop/Haas environment is important for this role.
  • Project management skills in data warehouse environment particularly in Agile project management discipline
  • Working experience on real time data consumption and data warehouse tools will be added advantage
  • Prior experience on data analytics will be an added advantage
