About the Department
The Credit and Risk Management function is comprised of three teams: Risk Management, Credit and Special Asset Management. We manage the risks arising from the Group\'s business activities within the risk appetite established by the Board. This involves identifying and evaluating the risks, developing effective risk governance and strategies as well as providing independent assessment of the overall risk profile.
Job Responsibilities
Liaise with key stakeholders and assist in the management of the bank\'s counterparty credit risk / wrong-way risk i.e. Global Markets related credit risk
Maintenance and review with Group on risk treatment for counterparty credit risk system
Counterparty credit risk system testing for new credit risk features / Global Markets products rollout
Support Global Markets on counterparty credit risk system and policy related queries
Assist in implementation of BNM\'s Basel 3 reforms such as Exposure to CCP, SA-CCR, CVA.
Responsible to run reports and analyses related to UOBM\'s Wholesale Banking segments, Sovereign and Bank counterparty exposures:
Produce monthly credit risk management reports encompassing RWA & CAR, wrong-way risk, bank exposures, etc.
Produce periodical and ad-hoc portfolio analytics as and when required.
Job Requirements
Degree with more than 5 years of related experience in wholesale banking environment, with treasury product knowledge and understanding of counterparty credit risk / market risk.
Familiar with Basel II or III related policies and regulatory guidelines - SCEL etc
Familiar with Wholesale Banking and Treasury product features
Portfolio analytic tools and trend analysis
Knowledge of credit management process and rating process of the Bank would be an added advantage
Familiarity with Risk Reporting systems would be an added advantage
A creative approach to solving complex problems
Possess good interpersonal skills
Strong multitasking ability, with a keen eye for detail.
The ability to work as part of a dynamic, results oriented team
