& Summary A career within Assurance Support Services, will provide the opportunity to support our engagement teams and clients by providing advice and counsel on accounting, financial reporting, and strategic business issues. In joining, you\xe2\x80\x99ll help ensure a complete and relevant exchange of information among our consultants and in turn with engagement teams and clients, provide experts advice on a variety of specific topics, support engagement teams in resolving complex issues, and supporting clients and their subsidiaries in evaluating the potential impact of accounting and reporting standard setting initiatives. You\xe2\x80\x99ll develop strong relationships with our engagement teams and established audit clients and enhance our ability to meet greater investor expectations with the challenges of an increasingly complex business environment.

Our team works closely with engagement teams, PwC leadership, PwC counsel, and other groups within PwC to identify and manage practice matters. You\xe2\x80\x99ll play an integral role in developing policy, processes, and tools to support the assurance practice and will interact daily with engagement teams to help staff navigate the challenging and highly judgmental aspect of the audit practice.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SOC Lead to join our team. Our company is committed to strengthening our cybersecurity offerings, and the SOC Lead will play a critical role in achieving this goal.

The SOC Lead will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of our Security Operations Center (SOC). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security operations, incident response, and threat intelligence.

Responsibilities:

Manage and lead the day-to-day operations of the SOC

Promote services offered by PwC\xe2\x80\x99s Cybersecurity and Privacy

Create and cultivate relationships with clients based on capability and credibility

Identify and address client needs, actively participating in client discussions and meetings, managing engagements including preparing concise and accurate documentation

Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and processes for incident detection, response, and reporting

Develop and maintain a threat intelligence program to keep abreast of the latest threats and vulnerabilities

Monitor security events and alerts, investigating and responding to potential incidents

Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing

Develop and execute incident response playbooks, including identifying and containing threats, collecting evidence, and communicating with stakeholders

Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to improve the security posture of the client

Work with product vendors and service providers to understand their offerings and strengths in order to develop pragmatic solutions to solve our client\xe2\x80\x99s business challenges

Conduct regular tabletop exercises and simulations to test the effectiveness of the incident response process and identify areas for improvement

Collaborate with other teams across the clients\xe2\x80\x99 organization, such as IT, DevOps, and Compliance, to ensure a comprehensive approach to security

Monitor regulatory compliance requirements, and ensure the SOC team is following appropriate procedures to meet these standards

Participate in security audits and assessments, including working with auditors to provide evidence and documentation of security controls and practices.

Manage the SOC team\'s training and development, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to effectively perform their roles

Increase brand awareness by participating in professional organizations or speaking engagements

Qualifications:

Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in security operations, incident response, or threat intelligence

Experience leading and managing a SOC team

Ability to build a thorough understanding of an organization\'s IT systems to anticipate possible security risks, identify areas of weakness, and respond effectively to possible security breaches

Strong knowledge of security technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection in both Windows and Linux/UNIX operating systems

Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls

Strong management skills, self-directed, with the ability to work both independently and part of a diverse team
