Job Responsibilities

Product and Market Research:

• Analyze industry and emerging market trends to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize procurement risk, protect continuity of supply, and optimize emerging opportunities
• Evaluate vendors\xe2\x80\x99 core competencies and competitive market positioning
• Conduct product and market research to obtain the best products based on quality, price and fulfillment turnaround.

Strategic Sourcing and Procurement:

• Create competitive environment by implementing effective sourcing and procurement strategies, policies, processes and systems required including competitive bids, tenders, request for quotation/proposals and creative negotiations (Tenders, RFQs and RFPs).
• Negotiating and obtaining lowest total cost of acquisition through continuous improvement, adoption of sourcing and procurement best practices and leveraging on supplier relationships.
• Driving continuous improvement on cost optimization to meet or exceed cost income ratio and other financial matrices set by the Bank.
• Ensure seamless availability of products and services to support internal stakeholders\xe2\x80\x99 requests and the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s strategic objectives.
• Keeping abreast of innovative, efficient and cost-effective ways to improve current work processes to drive sourcing and procurement best practices
• Managing spend analytics, Reporting on spending, price trend, and other monthly report.
• Establishing short-term and long-range planning and budget development of the Bank to support strategic business goals.
• Keeping abreast of more efficient, innovative and cost-effective ways to improve current cost control and work processes and to drive sourcing and procurement best practices

Vendor and Stakeholder Management:

• Develop excellent and effective collaborative long-term relationships with key stakeholders and external vendors to ensure the strategic and operational needs of the Bank are supported
• Facilitate vendor evaluations and assessments to minimize procurement risk
• Leveraging on supplier relationships, negotiate to obtain optimal acquisition based on quality, price and fulfillment turnaround
• Supplier performance management.
• Evaluating vendors core competencies and competitive positioning; analyze industry trends and evolving market developments to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities.
• Advocating for a zero-tolerance position on corruption and bribery inter and intra team, aligned to the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s/Group\xe2\x80\x99s sourcing and procurement best practices while meeting compliance matrices set.

Analysis and Business Initiatives:

• Support Senior Management Team in implementing strategic initiatives such as business transformation, environmental/social/governance sustainability and cost management initiatives related to of sourcing & procurement
• Produce regular and ad-hoc in-depth analysis and reports on vendor performance, total spend and potential savings
• Proactively review existing work processes to identify opportunities and implement process improvement initiatives

People Management:

• To lead and coach team members to:
• Overseeing staffing/recruiting/training/coaching of direct reports including performance reviews.
• Continuously improving team productivity and efficiency of relevant processes.
• Other responsibilities/ task as and when assigned by superior.

Job Requirement

Education/Qualification

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree, Professional Degree, Master Degree in Financing / Accounting/Banking, Economics, Business Studies/ Administration/ Management, or relevant equivalent supply-chain qualification.

Experience

• At least 5 years of working experience in a managerial capacity handling sourcing/procurement.
• Skilled in proposing and executing strategic cost saving initiatives.
• Comfortable presenting/communicating to senior management with great command in language.
• Experienced in carrying out vendor, product and total ownership cost analyses.

• Commendable negotiator not limited to pricing.
• Command strong communication (both verbal and written) and organizational skill.
• Independent with ability to multi-task while delivering results in a hyper-paced environment.
• Strong stakeholder management with leadership capabilities.
• Analytical mindset and meticulous.
• Decisive with good commercial acumen.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel, Ms Words, PowerPoint.
• Familiar using e-procurement systems and spend analytics tool as part of duties deliverance
